We are excited to host our annual Fall Family Festival on Sunday, Oct 27, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Emma Wilson School. Join us for this free costume event that includes trunk or treating, bounce houses, carnival games, and more!
Lifespring Church Meets Sundays at Emma Wilson Elementary school in the Multi-purpose room. Our worship services start at 10:00 am, with an intentional casual relational time for the first 15 minutes. Join us on an upcoming Sunday morning!

What is Lifespring Church all about?
We are a new Church family that started up in Chico in 2016. We want to be intentional about focusing on 3 things:
- Blessing: We want to be Bless our community with Love
- Belonging: We want to create spaces and relationships where all people feel like the Belong
- Believing: We want to be encouraging each other to believe the good news of God’s love for us
What we believe:
- God, the Creator of the world, is all powerful and all knowing. God’s ways are perfect and He loves mankind, despite our sin.
- Humans are separated from God due to sin. Without redemption from sin, man’s end is death.
- People matter to God. His love for man is so deep that God initiated a way to cover humanity’s sin and to make a way for people to be reconciled to Him.
- Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Head of the church, is the only way to God and to eternal life. Jesus died for our sins, and rose from the dead so that man could be redeemed from his sinful nature and restored to a right relationship with God.
- Forgiveness of sins and eternal life are available to all who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Those accepting Jesus Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into Him.
- The Holy Spirit lives within and empowers every Christian.
- God exists eternally as three persons in one, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- The Bible is the inspired word of God, and shows us how to live and love our God.
- The Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to share the love of God and the Grace He has given to us with the world around us.

Life Groups!
One of the main ways to connected with Lifespring is through checking out a Life Group. A Life Group is a small gathering of people who are interested in sharing friendship, learning more about faith, and being intentional about loving our community in Jesus name. Life Groups meet on a weekly basis and are central to getting connected at Lifespring. If you are interested in joining a Life Group, email us at luke@lifespringchico.org
Worship with Us!
We meet Sunday mornings at 10 am at Emma Wilson School, located at 1530 West 8th Avenue. We would love to have you join for worship, teaching, kids ministry and friendship.
LifeSpring Church is developing and beginning to grow. We are looking for new leaders to join us in our mission of reaching out in love to Chico. Here are some of the Leadership roles looking to add to our team:

-Set up/Clean up team members
-Welcome and Greeting Team members
-Worship team members

We love and value our kids at Lifespring!
We want to teach our kids how to “Reach Our Community with Kindness”, which is why we call our Kids ministry Kids R.O.C.K. (the w is silent) . On Sundays we include our kids in our whole church worship time for the first few minutes of singing, and then have a time for kids to come up and talk with our pastor. Then we send them to our kids ministry team for age appropriate teaching and activities.
Lifespring Student Ministry
For Middle School and High School Students:
We are excited to be able to provide a place for middle school and high school students to build encouraging relationships with each other and with leaders who want to invest in their lives. These nights will include games, fun, food, small group discussion, bible study and encouragement. We meet Tuesday nights during the school year at 7:00 pm at 1547 La Linda Lane.
For Young Adults:
We have had a weekly Small Group Bible study for young adults for the last several years. We are in the process of getting that reorganized for this fall. We will post those details when they are finalized. If you are interested in finding out more, please email Daniel Wright at djwright@gmail.com.
Luke and Joy Buyert
Lead Pastor
Luke has been engaged in student ministry in local churches for the last 18 years, and has sensed God’s call on his life to pursue planting a new church in Chico, CA. God has given Luke and Joy a passion for relational style of ministry that meets people where they are and helps them connect with God and his story. They have 3 children, Branden, Alyssa, and Caitlin, who are all in their college years.
Daniel and Alyssa Wright
Worship Team Leaders
Daniel and Alyssa are a couple with a heart for leading worship and helping people grow in their love for Jesus. Alyssa grew up in Chico and loves to make delicious food. Daniel comes to us from Australia, and has never met a stranger. They recently got married in November of 2017. Together they add a lot to our Lifespring team.
Diane Fisher
Children’s Ministry Director
Diane Fisher was born & raised in Chico, CA. She studied Child Development at Chico State, Bible and Church Ministry at Nazarene Bible College, and has worked in youth ministry in Chico for over 15 years. She has a deep love for the Lord, loves sharing her testimony and making disciples who make disciples. She is very excited to be a part of the staff at Lifespring Church.
